Things you've done to surprise yourself

I just isolated glacial Acetic acid by myself using:

coconut vinegar + tumbler + draining bottle + refrigerator

Put coconut vinegar in tumbler (must have a small drip hole) and put in freezer until frozen. When frozen, drip it into draining bottle and transfer apparatus to hinge compartment of the freezer, it's a warmer place and will allow fractional difference in melting points to take place.

I noticed mine to have two products, the one left in the tumbler and the one dripped into the bottle. I assumed the one left in the tumbler to be glacial acetic acid because it had a strong and sharp odour unlike the one in the bottle which had a faint one.

I've made a plasma ball in the mircowave oven using:

pencil carbon core + mircowave oven + glass + glue + aluminum foil + plastic box filled with water

    1) glue the pencil carbon core (5 cm) vertically to the center of a small sheet of aluminum foil (5x5 cm)
    2) put this in the box with water, covered by the glass
    3) put this in the microwave oven, set it to 10 seconds
    4) enjoy the show ^^

Note, due to the 10 second window and inside container created by the glass and box water,
there is minimal to zero risk of damaging your microwave oven.

Back in grade 1, I told the teacher I knew a poem, and she let me stand up and read it off to the class. It was a dirty poem, almost as bad as the one about the man from Nantucket. It got a good laugh from everyone, and the teacher was cool about it.

    I don't have a small drip hole.
Dawnmaster, that sounds like a Horadric Cube recipe.

I surprised myself by climbing the cliffs of Bunglass - Slieve League, the highest cliffs in Europe - despite my medical conditions.
On hindsight I was doing this while having a galstone the size of a melon*) inside me.

*) when my galbladder was removed, a few months later, nurses told me that there was a really, really big stone inside it. They never showed me the stone so I'm going to have to guess its size. Melon, probably. Walnut, more likely.

Can one surprise themselves sexually? Like, take yourself out on a date, romance yourself, that sort of thing? And then you're like, "Dayum, I had no idea I had it in me." No? Okay, then we won't talk about that.

    /silly

When I was... 13 or so, I stood up to a boy who was twice my size. We were toe to toe and I knew that if he took one swing at me I was a goner but I was tired of him messing with me. He stood up, I stood up, looking UP at him, breathing hard through my nostrils, staring up at his angry, brown, beady eyes. I was hoping he would take a swing so I could fight him, but the teacher (nonchalantly, btfw) was like, "Y'all sit down. Come on." After that, the guy and I were cool. But I sat down and was thinking in my head, "holy hell, that just happened! I could have died!" got tired with his ****. And 13 years later, I know I can do it again. I may not like it, but I know I can do it.

Sorry, I'm not as smart as Wolfofbenjamin or DM, here! XD

I'm not smarter than the average person, I just have an insane amount of imagination and love to try things out for myself
(which usually requires looking stuff up you don't learn in school, and when it's interesting enough, it's lodged in my brain forever )

I guess men can achieve that, like this:

"Whoops... ehh, that went surprisingly quick!"

Isn't that the opposite of suprising?

You Put the Lime in the Coconut ....

    On the Sex Thing.

The first time I kind of accidentally Semi-Self-Taught-Masturbated and that white stuff came out of my penis freaked me out.

I was not well educated about sex at the time.
