What do folks think about the increases to life regen proposed patch 1.0.8

    Barb-

    War Cry
    Skill Rune – Invigorate
Now regenerates 620 life per second (up from 310)
    Passive Skills
    Inspiring Presence
Now regenerates 4% of maximum life per second (up from 2%)
    Now affects all party members

    Demon Hunter

    Companion
    Skill Rune – Boar Companion
Now regenerates 310 life per second (up from 155)
    Sentry
    Skill Rune – Aid Station
Now heals nearby allies for 2% of max life per second (up from 1%)
    Brooding
Now regenerates 2% of maximum life per second (up from 1%)

    Monk

    Mantra of Healing
Now causes party members to regenerate 620 life per second (up from 310)
    Skill Rune – Sustenance
Now increases Mantra of Healing’s life regeneration to 1240 per second (up from 620)

    Witch Doctor

    Passive Skills
    Blood Ritual
Now regenerates 2% of maximum life per second (up from 1%)

    Wizard

    Active Skills
    Familiar
    Skill Rune – Vigoron
Now regenerates 620 life per second (up from 310)

This seems almost made for HC. SC folks don't care nearly as much.

remember we will be almost force to run on MP1 or higher due to wanting the higher monster density, and I know lots of folks that run on MP0 (paragon leveling) for speed and safety unless key farming or ubers. So maybe this will help counter the slightly harder monsters that folks might be trying to run before their gear is ready. Or counter disconnects on the higher MP folks will run. I know I was confident on D/C's on MP0 with inspiring presence at 2% but no so much on higher MP. eh I like it, it makes me tankier.

    thoughts?

With new bloord ritual you can get close to 4k reg/sec for WD without almost any troubles. That is very nice.

Hmmmmmm, this could be pretty cool. Once again barbs seem to be dealt the best though. Currently 6K/second is about the max right? Could it be possible to hit 10k/sec in 1.0.8?

I think it's awesome. It'll definitely cut down on d/c deaths. I (monk) generally run with a barb and/or a DH who uses Aid Station. I hope this added survivability will allow for me to comfortably change to slightly more aggressive builds.

I think, like someone previously pointed out, they're trying to make another viable method of returning life to the character besides big damage and Life Steal, so, yes, just like spiffy mentioned, this will serve HC very well where damage is often lower and so LS is not the end all, be all.

Very curious to see if it means I can drop Tough as Nails in higher MP and simply run on Life Regen topping things out. (SC that is.) I think it will make leveling up characters in HC much easier (I'm using Inspiring Presence right now as I level my new HC Barb up, actually) and hopefully let people push up and against the new monster density in MP1+.

I love Blood Ritual, I'm quite excited for it to become twice as good!

Well so much for the 4% change... oh well it will still be cool that the buff is party sharable.

yeah I read that yesterday. Bummer for us HC folks.
The softcore PvP folks whined a bunch and got this changed, from what I can tell by reading the bnet forums.
