P.S. for Bob, I also remember M$FT considering one of their main marketing thrusts as a recipe database, and again when they were marketing their future of personal tech concepts...

Well I got my parents to buy our first computer an Apple IIe with an Okidata printer and Betelle box (Think flash hard disk as normally you had to boot from floppys.) largely on my mom needing it for recipes and sewing patterns. Kept it upstairs though in the sewing room/office.

It Was Honestly the most I ever paid (inflation adjusted $) for the least performance for any computer in my life and was such a good buy. Used it for years and years, was also the last real user serviceable computer they made.
