I Can't Decide

I'm going to make either a blizz sorc OR a light sorc

(This would be PvM, twinked)

I've been reading all kinds of guides and stickies but I keep changing my mind over and over..
I'm so torn!



Please help me decide!

This discussion will be geared toward comparing the two side-by-side. And...go!

No Infinity ATM but I'm not afraid of taking the time to make one.

I do have a Griffins, though. Wolfy-Fed found it a while ago and threw it in the stash

For a Lightsorc, an Infinity is a must-have. And for PvM, a Lightsorc with Infinitymerc is the fastest killer.

Infinity can break almost any light immunity... while this is not so easy for cold and fire immunes. So if you have infinity light sorc is the best build (not the funniest, imo).

Cold is better against bosses, and of course helps more your merc (unless you use holyfreeze, of course ^_^').

Before getting infinity i usually use hybrid builds... more funny and avoid any problem with immunes, if you want to play alone. At the moment I have a light sorc with infinity and griffon... but i never use it, too strong, too boring

What is generally the preferred merc for a sorc?

The only two that seem to make sense to me would be

-Holy Freeze merc (probably the safest, no?)

-Might merc (the might aura would only help him kill faster. Seems like it would be only useful against the Immunes)

Well, thorn merc is useless for anybody.
Blessed aim has no utility for a soso (except enchantress, no clue here)
Holy freeze is the best choice imo for a light/fire soso... useless for cold soso.

In that case you could use both might or even prayer merc, i think it's not a bad choice, especially if using insight (double life bonus)
