Few Physical Amazon Questions

Hey guys,

I am about to become Matriarch with my Amazon and I recently replace the Mavinas set I was using. I have few questions about her equipment and the available Skill points.

1. What helm should I use? I have the Giant Skull but I use a Windfoce which makes the Giant Skull quite useless since it provides Knockback?
2. What amulet would you suggest? I am currently using Atma's and it seems to be working quite good.
3. What armor should I wear? I have no idea..!
4. I maxed Strafe, Multi Shoot and Penetrate. What's next? :P

1. Generally an IAS helm is preferred, depending on what ias breakpoint you want to hit. M'avina's with an ias jewel provides 45 ias from hat which is a big deal
2. Atma's is best. Cat's eye is also decent but then get a reapers merc.
3. Fortitude. If you don't have that, use lionhart or treachery
4. Max Critical strike not penetrate. You should have enough AR from steel/sharp grand charms and dex. Or atleast put ~10 pts in crit, as well as the mandatory 9 after skills in pierce. If you have a thing for D/A/E/V you can put points in them- I usually don't bother with more than 1 in each and none in valkyrie ( decoy is better ).
Finally, max magic arrow. It's great at dealing with physical immunes.

Thanks, one last question. I have:

Mavinas Helm - 30% AS
Windofrce (shael) - 40% AS
Gloves - 20% AS
Tearchery - 45% AS

I used the AS Calculator and got these results: I don't need any more AS right?

With windforce you can easily aim for the 120 ias bugged strafe bp. Or at the very least get 90 ias for multi shot.

This was my setup prior to acquiring faith and pride ( those change things a bit ).

WF with 29ed/15 ias jewel ( 35)
M'avina 15 ias ( 45)
LoH (20)
Cat's eye(20)

total: 120

For 90 ias build, replace M'avina's with Kira's guardian ( 15 ias ). KG gives a truckload of resists and frees up a ring slot if you want that.

Both setups assume fortitude armor ( extremely important imo ). With treachery you can even aim at 150 ias multi and 160 ias bugged strafe.

You hardly need that much ias if you're just straight up strafe. Kira's is a waste of a space, much better to go with a dual leech or high ias helm. Ranged characters don't need much in the way of resists. Here's a good (if somewhat dated) guide for a WF using zon.

Yeah, go with a gaze/wf combo! Throwback to the 1.09 era where bowazons were everywhere...and the .08 WF. How I miss it so.

And yeah, you really don't need much ias with a strafer...on my untwinked bowa I'm using even a [10] WIAS bow with a shael in it, and 20%ias gloves. I find it's more than enough for hell.

I would skip WF and get a Faith.
Mavs set full with good sockets is a fun set and the Faith is the better upgrade.

Also planning a bowazon with WF and Fortitude + 20 point strafe (Faith is 2 expensive atm). Don't think I can reach 120 IAS without an amu with 20 IAS.
So for my setup would u opt for an Atma's and skip the 120 IAS or grab a Highlords/ cat's eye and go for the 120 IAS?

Depends if u have pride merc or reapers.
With reapers, amp is not needed, get Cat's eye.
