Just want to say hello and introduce myself to the hardcore community. Been playing softcore a lot (paragon 93). So I've decided to give hardcore a shot, mostly due the getting the achivement points.
I died once to some gfx screen freeze. Had to ctrl+alt+delete. When I came back online, my char was dead :O Thats a bit harsh to deal with. Its ok, If a champ pack kills you, but gfx lag is just heart breaking.
I thought it would be easy, but man I was wrong. Lost my lvl 54 DH, lvl 52 WIZ, lvl 30 Monk, and now at lvl 36 with another WIZ. This is a completely new diablo3 experience to play hardcore. So much excitement in playing it now and a active AH on every char level. I really enjoy the feeling, that a new item can be the diffrence between death or staying alive. On softcore, who cares really.
My main problem is, that many of my friends play softcore. So I would love to have people come play with me. Moonie#2222 EU SERVER.
I've had a similar experience. Left my high lvl paragon WD in SC and haven't looked back.
The key to leveling in hardcore is to hit the AH whenever you start to hit some trouble. Alot of cheap upgrades can be made in the 5-15k range. I find that having a decent weapon makes the biggest difference while lvling.

Now barb at 47 and he's rocking way overgeared in NM act 2 with 450dps 1-hander.
I'm fairly casual and usually play a couple of hours in the evening. I don't do really fast runs because I like to pick up stuff and take my time to enjoy killing stuff
looking forward to do some keyruns & ubers with other people!
decided to give it a try on my own tonight on mp3, first organ is a fact never felt in danger, shame to do it alone tho
