Holy crap inter, 250kg DL? My highest is like 140kg lol.
I actually got to the gym today for the first time in 3 months, which was awesome. Weighed myself, and I'm back to where I was over the summer! Only 19 more pounds to my goal weight
I didn't think this thread would get very far, but I'm actually really excited to know other spfers are working towards a healthier lifestyle.
Here is what we need to do for the first week:
- Start a food log. If it goes in your mouth, it goes in the food log. It can be as simple as snapping a cell phone photo, or as complex as weighing your food with a digital scale. Just get in the habit of recording everything you eat and drink. There are a ton of good free apps for smartphones.
- Take a good "before" picture. You're going to be a legend, make it count.
- Take some measurements. Body weight obviously, but also diameter of chest, stomach, hips, upper arms and upper legs. These are often better indicators of progress than actual pounds lost. I trained one girl who lost twelve inches off her tummy. That's 30 centimeters.
You can PM me the results or post here. Or we can communicate via text message or email. Whatever you feel comfortable with.
I did the food log for about 8 months last year, so I can vouch for its usefulness! Nowadays, I'm just a lot better at counting calories heh.
Removed the deadlift bit, since I just got back from the gym after a successful lift. New personal best, check.Code:Forum Name Goal Start End --------------------------------------------------------------------- GooberGrape Visible Abs 1/3/13 5/3/13 FoE No more water with leek/onion 1/3/13 1/4/13 Daz Visible Abs/Run 5 Miles 1/3/13 5/15/13 Corax Lose 10kg/general awesome 1/4/13 when i get there inter Lose 3kg 1/7/13 1/7/20
I've actually wanted to make a food log for about... two years. But then I'm always too lazy to start.
I don't need to lose weight (but I want to have an idea of what I eat and where I can go healthier - I don't eat much junk but I know I can cut especially the cookies at night and I would also like to vary more) and I'd like to regain some muscles, since I left high school I stopped doing regular exercise.
I'll start running soon (since I've been saying this for a long time, I going to say tomorrow!!! and see if I do it) and when I feel in shape I'll look for some sport to do (I would love to play basketball again - I played when I was younger) (I would love football but since that keeps messing with my toenails I decided I won't ever play it again - I was roughly five months without doing any exercise because of an ingrown nail and I have had several minor problems related to toenails injuries lol), and after that some martial art... (but I've being saying this to myself for years).
Nulio, I'll run tomorrow if you doAnd dude, ingrown toenails SUCK. Other people tell me it's nothing to think about, but they obviously haven't had one.
