Yeah it hurts. First days you play CM wizz its a pain for your fingers, after few days then u get used .
However, its true that after several hours of non-stop playing, mouse finger starts hurting and if I do not take a break the pain grows up through your arm.
I've been thinking lately that I should probably get an ergo keyboard or a gaming keypad.
Those are some good tips on pains in your hand, I'll try to be more careful.
Since when can you just hold down the buttons? When was this fixed?
I tested this on September 9 in 1.0.3 with three different keyboards and it simply did not work. I have two pc and one laptop. I also tested with an anti ghosting keyboard supporting 26 keys pressed simultaneously just to make sure but i couldn't get it to work.
But wow is there really some people playing cm wiz without a macro? I tried it for one day and my hand hurt like hell. The following day i made a macro so i just press one button to spam and release it to stop.
Stopped playing this crap after a week or so. What a stupid build. Credit to my friend still playing this wiz. The freeze is incredibly helpful expecially for uber runs. I do hope he doesn't hurt his hand or arm.
I've been playing mine since 1.0.3 and it's always worked. Just hold down the keyboard skills and click ET on your mouse repeatedly.
I have a hard time believing that when i actually tested it myself with 3 different pc. There must be something else missing in the equation.
I would be very interested knowing what i did wrong because that is the biggest reason i stopped playing wizard.
There is one of two ways you can do it.
Hold all 3 buttons down and spam click mouse button as fast as you can - or - hold mouse button down and spam your 1-3 keys by rolling your fingers. Change your stand still key to spacebar and life will be much easier.
I am using a Dell QuietKey that looks to be from the 80's and either of these methods work for me.
Listen to the man. If what he's describing doesnt seem to apply to how keys function in YOUR d3 client, I recommend just doing a clean install of the game. Reddit is reporting this clears everything up.
For Macbook users:
reassign 1,2,3,4 to a,s,d,f and spacebar for stand still as said before.
g- inventory
v-telepport
q-potion
t- follower inventory
b- banner
e- skills
c- move button (invaluable in archon mode. the absence of this key in d2 is the biggest turn-off for me retroplaying it again. I'm so spoiled by it now.)
x- cancel/close windows
z- friends list
command key - push to talk (for vent, mumble, etc)
tab - auto clicker app begin/cease left clicking (I don't prefer these programs but this key works well if you do)
Download Better Touch Tool App
Set taping top left corner of your macbook touchpad to also be a right click (teleport, stretch time works well here, armor if doing rocknado)
set CLICKING bottom left corner of touchpad to also be 'f' (skill 4, which should be your armor). If you hold a,s,d with your pinky, ring, middle; forefinger rests on spacebar; now your thumb is resting just to the left of your touchpad, which is much more fluid to activate armor than removing forefinger from spacebar, and clicking storm armor on f. You can just click bottom left corner of touchpad. And for during ubers, instead of stopping left clicks ona magic mouse to right click (mac users get what i'm saying). You can quickly brush the top left corner of your touchpad for a right click, all while never ceasing wicked winds.
BTT is invaluable if you choose to run Rocknadoshards.
I switch armor to right click and meteor to 'f' (bottom left corner of trackpad). For some reason on macbook, I find click the touchpad corner + mouse left clicking to be more efficient than right click + simultaneous left click (with any mouse, or at least the four I've tried). It's hard to explain why until you try it, but it just seems to work a lot better with the build (BTT now allows programing multiple outputs from one button press like a right finger TAP (not click) signifying a right+left click. I do not like how it feels though. Also be warned, since one input key is yielding two outputs, this is technically against ToA should you choose to program this).
Other helpful BTT configs:
three finger swipe right on mouse = return (for easily pressing e for elite during gameplay)
two finger works well too if you don't left click with two fingers (which I sometimes do during ubers).
three finger left swipe = escape
three finger tip-tap right = volume up
three finger tip-tap left = volume dwn
three finger tip-tap middle = mute
two finger slide down = "paste: "kk"
two finger slide up = "omw"
three finger click = min/max window
four finger click = open armory thru browser
two finger double tap = open map
two finger click + command key = screenshot + post online + copy link to pasteboard
for your touchpad (warning: using automator to swap skillsets is against ToA):
*fn + tap top right corner = 3 second swap build to archon (dont use out of paranoia now)
*control + tap top right corner = 3 second swap build to windup
*option + tap top corner = 2 second unequip everything
four finger double tap = launch diablo 3
five finger double tap = launch netstat to check IP after finding a legendary so you can add to your data disproving any credibility to the "hot IP" religion after 1000 logged legendaries/quality/IP address
five finger spread = launch mumble
five finger close = launch skype
four finger swipe up = vent
four finger swipe down = Instant swap to wikipedia page for author Phillip K. Dick. "Lol no man, I wasn't playing that stupid game. I'm reading."
Hope hope my setup might help out any of the 2 other mac users who run windupwizard out there.

Make sure you have a big mouse. I use a $70 gaming logitech mouse. My right hand was killing me using a small mouse until I bought that, now I'm fine.
edit: I can't speak to the left hand; I've never had trouble with it, but then again I'm not cm lol.
