Okay, this will be sort of like the Movie Review thread. Name the anime, give it a rating, please state genre and how long it is, express thoughts, voice your opinion, discuss/debate among ourselves about the shows, write down unheard-of shows on our anime lists. What? don't look at me like that! If you're into anime, you have an anime list written somewhere! Don't even deny it! ;D Nerd. lol, jk.

Trigun
Genre: Action, Sci-fi Western
Length: 26 episodes and (according to Wikipedia (i know, i know. such a trusted site. /sarcasm)) a film was released in 2010

This anime follows an outlaw by the name of Vash the Stampede, the Humanoid Typhoon, who goes from town to town and manages to cause a lot of damage along the way. Trailing him are two claims insurance girls named Meryl and Milly.

I know that is a vague as **** description but I'm a bit cranky, tired, and I want to play my games. I really enjoyed this anime. It was amusing, action-packed (I don't recall a slow episode or a filler), good plot. When I was working and had off days, I always looked forward to watching it. I don't find it a bad anime, there was one or two characters that I got really attached to and I like shows that pull me in that way.

Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne
Genre: Um... Action, Mythical??
Length: 6 episodes, iirc

This got my attention on netflix and it was very short so i gave it a go. This one is very interesting. It follows a woman named Rin who works as a detective or something and she happens to be an immortal. There is usually someone after her in every episode trying to kill her and she kicks total ***. Mysteries and murders happen and she has to find out what happened. tiny warning: there is graphic violence and some nudity. Had to throw that out there in case you're a kid and your parents walk into your room and think you're watching porn or something (Or you're an adult and your kids walk in). Some very brutal scenes and there is one guy in there that I just grew to loathe. Sadistic mother ****er if I ever saw one! All in all, it wasn't bad. I do recommend it if you like immortal, gods vs immortals, life, death, kind of thing.

Not really into it much but I did like Lone Wolf and Cub both the USA reprint version comics (manga) that Frank Miller did covers for and the films/TV series.

Pretty much one of the most influential and widely known manga out there if that fits in here?

BTW quick search of threads in this forum with the word Anime in the title turned up quite a few you and Drystan might take a look at

I remember loving the anime but it's been years I seen it and also I saw it in German. Which I thought was rather good.
I read the manga and found it meh. Too fast, and not half as enjoyable as the anime. Strange. Then I'm no expert.

there are a few I've enjoyed that he contributed to

Ninja Nonsense/2x2=Shinobuden where he is a weird yellow ball guy
Assemble Insert which is an old 1990 OVA where he plays a police detective, its a spoof of Patlabor
Hayate no Gotoku which starts out good but then becomes meh, he is the narrator

there's a pretty wide variety of stuff I like, I might revisit this thread and review a bit when I have more time
