    Cliche Grief Zealot Build?

For comparisons sake, I'm trying to figure out the physical damage of your run-of-the-mill PvM zealot. What gear/skills do they use? This is what I'm thinking:

    20 Fanat
    20 Zeal
    20 Sacrifice

    Grief PB
    Fort
    Phoenix
    Guillame's
    Highlords
    Ravenfrost
    Dual Leech Ring
    Drac's
    String/Verdungo's
    Goreriders
Act 2 Holy Freeze Merc w/ ethereal Tomb Reaver

Does that sound about right? Again, I'm not building one, just trying to get a solid number on their damage output.

    Replace dracs with LOH.

Merc is wrong, it is might merc with reapers, forti/treachery, leech helm ( Tals/Vgaze/Andy ).

Skills are 5-10 in holy shield if you want block, remaining in Blessed aim/vigor/whatever.

Otherwise yeah that's right. Unless you want to go 2H options.

    Re: Cliche Grief Zealot Build?

Ok, I figured as much for most of those. So we're talking about +8 skills with Andys, Torch, Anni, and CtA. So the numbers should then look like this:

    Base Damage
    431-435
    Multiplier
    1 + 1.32 [Str bonus] + 5.09 [Fanat] + 3.84 [Zeal/Sac] + 2.5 [lvl 22 Might] ( + 3.5 [LotH] )
    = 13.75 (17.25 to demons)
    * 1.72 [DS]
    Physical Damage per Hit
    10,240 (12,847 to demons)

Of course, this is before enemy physical resists, Decrepify, or crushing blow. That look right?

    Re: Cliche Grief Zealot Build?

    No, that looks wrong.

My LCS damage with eDeath CS/eBoTD WP multiplied with deadly strike factor is somewhere in the region of 20k per hit. I don't think grief is so far behind.

Edit: It seems you forgot the off weapon ED from Fortitude and Phoenix, and the 'to demons' damage of grief. Also, you can have either G-face or Andy, not both.

    Oh, right, right, right. Woops.

    Base Damage
    431-435
    Multiplier
    1 + 1.32 [Str bonus] + 5.09 [Fanat] + 3.84 [Zeal/Sac] + 2.5 [lvl 22 Might] + 3 [Fort] + 4 [Phoenix] ( + 3.5 [LotH] )
    = 20.75 (24.25 to demons)
    * 1.72 [DS]
    Physical Damage per Hit
    15,454 (18,060 to demons)

Is that with +8 skills? I said you couldn't have an Andy's if you already have a Guillame's. Also, you still didn't consider +demon damage from grief. It bothers me that you considered perfect rolls on everything. Maybe take average rolls? Also, 132 str is kind of low for a zealot. You don't need that many vita points for SC. My 2H zealer currently has 203 str points and that's without torch/anni bonuses.

    Re: Cliche Grief Zealot Build?

Yes, +8 skills. Drop the Guillame's for Andy's, like you suggested. Oh, and I guess you obviously right on the +demon damage from Grief. I chose perfect rolls, only because I was just going to compare ideal endgame of one build to another, but average could be more appropriate. And 132 str is just enough for the gear, a 2H probably needs a little more just for req's right? Any other complaints, bra? Oh, what's the setup on the 1h Zealot you mentioned earlier?

No, I suggested dropping Andy's for Guillame. Andy's is for the merc. G-face has extra CB and DS.
The 2H actually only needs 115 str. I put the extra points there cause I didn't need so much vit ( cta switch ).

    Re: Cliche Grief Zealot Build?

Alright, let's try this again. This time I'm going to adjust for average rolls, guillames, other damage sources, clvl 95, and 200 str, but I'll continue to leave jewels & charms out of the mix (other than anni/torch).

    Base Damage
    401-405
    Multiplier
    1 + 2.0 [Str bonus] + 4.75 [Fanat] + 3.72 [Zeal/Sac] + 2.5 [lvl 22 Might] + 3 [Fort] + 3.75 [Phoenix] ( + 5.28 [LotH/Grief] )
    = 8350.16 (10,478 to demons)
    Deadly Strike
    * 1.85 [DS]
    =15,447.8 (19,384.3 to demons)
In addition, 50% CB, 315 Poison over .4 seconds, 10% OW, 1-30 Lightning Damage, 5-30 Fire Damage, 15-45 Cold Damage, 40% ctc Lvl 22 Firestorm, 5% ctc Lvl 10 Firestorm, & 10% ctc Lvl 3 Holy Bolt.

    Looks about right now.
Where did you get '5% ctc Lvl 10 Firestorm' ?
