cna't join ladder

I'm in the ladder already, but I am bored of my Wizard.
So I created a new char, a monk, and didn't even start a game.
Then when I tried to add him to the ladder it says "no new chars found, you're already in".
I figured, "ok, maybe i need to enter a game first".
So I started a new game with my monk, but didn't even go to town, didn't even kill a zombie.
Still couldn't add him to the ladder.

diablo3ladders.com sees the monk (he's named Ladder and is the last in the list), but it won't add him to the ladder.

The feedback I see here is that we need to show your heroes that are in the season ladders and their positions
