Hey all,
Just wondering what people use on followers:
A) Just what you find laying around
B) the best AH can offer
C) MF ammy and rings and a Vit weapon
I personally use the last one. I've found 20% MF slots for (most) of them.
Last night though I had the idea to get a MF weapon for the enchantress (or scoundrel) but I could not remember what legendaries had MF...I seem to remember a sword or mace...and you can't search for MF on weapons in the AH !
Anyone know?
The legendary weapons with MF are:
Sun Keeper, Grand Vizier, Three Hundredth Spear, Blade of Prophecy, as far as I know.
Traveler's Pledge is a set amulet with MF.
There are some other reasonable choices for follower equipment: The Tormentor is currently bugged such that it only works with basic attacks (I think), so it makes sense on an enchantress (procs charm effect as part of the item). Puzzle Ring on a follower can transform "farming time" into "extra fun goblin farming time." Buriza, Hellrack and Windforce on the scoundrel give you freezing/rooting/knockback benefits, respectively. The Band of Hollow Whispers procs a low-damage Haunt effect. Maximus' demon summon is also handy. Skycutter summons an angel, but I don't think it's a very strong angel.
On my templar:
Weapon: Sun keeper
Shield with 20 mf
Amu with 42 mf
Rings with 15 and 16 mf
If I remember correctly
You could use an extra hellfire on your follower, and maybe leorics signet, if you want to gain some extra xp.
Nowhere close to others that participate in "pimp my followers", but here's the ones I use on mine for some possible ideas.

Follower? What is that? Solo playing is boring. Multiplayer is where the fun can be found.
Multiplayer? What is that? Is that where there are other people and they're stressful and do stuff you don't want them to and either move too fast and you want to stop and compare items or you fight your urge to compare items and then you still can't move as fast as them and you then you feel guilty for slowing them down or when you ask to stop because your child/dog/pet rock needs something? Solo playing is where the fun can be found. :P
Cold damage crossbows and ias stuff. Yes, Buriza is better. I don't have one.
I'm using a Templar with my Wizard
He has a Wizardspike, but is using rares for Amulet and Rings
I'd switch to a Enchantress if I had a Maximus or maybe to a Scoundrel if I had a Buriza-Do Kyanon.
What are your suggestions for legendaries for Followers?
Scoundrel
Buriza-Do Kyanon http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/burizado-kyanon (no experience with this yet, but from all I've read it's the way to go)
Hellrack http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/hellrack (used a scoundrel with this, it was ok)
Enchantress
Maximus http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/maximus (no experience with this yet, but from all I've read it's the way to go)
Templar
Wizardspike http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/wizardspike (my templar uses this and it works well)
Azurewrath http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/azurewrath (no experience with this yet, but sounds like it could be nice)
The Butcher's Sickle http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-butchers-sickle (no experience with this yet, but sounds like it could be nice)
Amulet
The Star of Azkaranth http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-star-of-azkaranth (just guessing)
Rings
Litany of the Undaunted http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/litany-of-the-undaunted (just guessing)
The Wailing Host http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-wailing-host (just guessing)
You only get 20% of what's on your Follower.
So does it really make a difference ?
You can put a Hellfire Ring and Leoric Ring on Follower. An extra 13% Bonus Exp? Sign me up.
You can put MF/GF items on Follower. Max is 150% MF on Templar. An extra 30% MF? Yes please.
The other option for Scoundrel (if gearing for combat) is to give him a Windforce, along with a Ring/Amulet that adds Cold Damage (e.g. Tal Rasha's Amulet, Stone of Jordan, etc.). This combo provides chill + knock-back, which can rival Buriza's chill + pierce. A lot more expensive though.
I use the Enchantress and she has a Maximus... It's amazing. The Demon procs very often and although it doesn't do much for damage it helps with CC. It will draw attacks after I used Blinding Flash. Also let's be honest... It's really bad *** to have a huge Demon on the screen with a fire chain hooked to the Enchantress...
As for the items other than the weapon High Int is a must for the Enchantress followed but any useful stat roll... with a little MF to top it off...

Another thing to think about is what type of Char you play and what's your play style... That's big when selecting what follower to use. As a Monk the Enchantress' attack speed buff and Armor buff is really nice to have.
