Explain? Me? I actually asked for an explanation in my previous posting, with nothing between the lines. Well OK, not nothing, but not what you believe to have noticed. So I'm waiting for somebody else doing that .

BTW, why does it take so long to count the votes in Florida? In Germany, all votes are counted after 2-3 hours, without voting machines, and the counting process has a couple of extra measures to prevent mistakes and fraud. The official declaration is made next morning.

People in Florida ... their eyesight hasn't been too good these days (well, since around 1965) as they are all getting on a bit. The staff all have to pass around a reading magnifier between them and this takes time.

Well, it's over two years ago, so I'm certainly not going to go sorting through threads trying to find it. Yes, it was definitely you - I think it was in a thread where I was boxing both you and RisingRed at the same time, but I don't recall the subject.

Pretty good, though like I said the majority of the sites show tears of anguish and sorrow about the future of the country, rather than rage about the loss, the GOP, or Romney.

You do know that you can stick a fork in the GOP, right? That's not any better for the country than if the Democrat Party had imploded. We're in for over a decade of one-party rule now, and the stupid SoB's that actually <do> have the characteristics you socialists claim (I generally refer to these as Progressive Republicans) are going to slide right into the role of "loyal opposition". The conservative/libertarian movement essentially died (TEA party candidates were all but eliminated), and those viperous arse-wipes are pretty happy about it.

RedEye had a cute bit about it last night. Their correspondent ("Mike Michaelson) is at a table with a huge pile of paper notes and two glass vases labeled - it went something like:

Michaelson: "3,876. 3,877. 3,878. 3,879. ..."
Gutfeld: "Hello, Mike? Mike, how is the vote counting going?"
Michaelson: <extended silence> "1. 2. 3. 4. ..."
