Wow, how did I miss this?
I'm still in shock, so I'm not sure exactly what to think. I'm leaving towards it being good though.
The "Peacekeeper wars" rounded off Farscape pretty well though, as did "Serenity".
Back on topic: I'm not sure that episodes 7-9 could really add much to the Star Wars universe.
I quite liked Blake's 7 when it first came out - in the same way cramp is sort of enjoyable, even whilst it is excruciating agony ...
... but that ending. It gave me a brand new brain aneurysm and then burst it, in five minutes flat. The horror. The horror.
There is a book written by someone connected with the series (Blakes 7), NOT fan fiction, that takes up just after the end of the series and Avon wasn't killed. I lent the book to a friend before I read it and he lost it, so I cannot say whether it was any good. I recently rewatched series 1 and it was actually much better than I remembered.
If I was the nostalgic type, I might be a little upset. Then again, Star Wars wasn't a huge part of my childhood.
I would like too see cleaned up versions of the original theatrical cuts of Ep. 4-6 on Blu-Ray (I don't care for the "special edition" crap at all). If Disney can deliver that, I don't care what else they do with the franchise.
