Techno, is that picture real or photoshop? If they're not allowed to show the scary danger colours on the light sabres, then I'm betting on worse than ep 1. Place yer bets.

The books existed before the movies (ep 7-9 might have been written after the first movie, I'm not sure), so one movie per book sounds somehow reasonable. We had 8 Harry Potter movies, one for each book and two for the last one, as well as 3 LotR movies and now another 3 for The Hobbit plus a few extras, so why not another 3 Star Wars movies?

Besides, there's nothing wrong with making a movie which a lot of people want see. I hope you aren't offended that somebody wants to make money with it.

Not sure how to answer that. The parts I bolded seem like excess, maybe the point where art dies and the audience feels the material is being abused. I'm all for freedom, but I'm the type of artist that doesn't want more regurgitated Batman/Spiderman movies. While the SW ones will be technically new, I'm sure they will be so formulaic, banal, and mainstream that they may as well not exist, if that makes sense.

I agree that this is a reasonable opinion in my eyes, but I wouldn't compare it with prostitution. For most people, that would involve giving up one's dignity and I don't think that's necessarily the case here. But of course, there are people who sell their souls for money, just like there are enough people who decide to become prostitutes while having other choices as well.
