Arrrr omg what a mistake ill add the info later got about 51k dps 5-600 res all with impunity 8k armor and about 30k health ill try to improve res and vitality next and id like to get 70k dps :-P but act 1 is on farm with mf gear on so deffenatly getting stronger

If your look to progress farther, you may be forced to drop DPS for survivability. I myself finished ActIV with about 25k DPS.

If you have a high-DPS build, you could just be lacking LoH or Life Steal to keep you alive.

Id rather qiut than make a tank barb ill just keep farming for better gear untill im strong enough for the next act and so on im doing the glass cannon suicidal approach :-P

bud, i'm currently using a tank build and i'm almost at 50k base dps....my gear is not considered godly.

PS...i'm also running with zero loh, zero lifesteal, and zero life regen, and i've got act 3/4 on permanent farm with rarely any deaths. Tank builds have the advantage of not needing any loh, so it frees up money and skill slots for other things. The only time its challenging now is if i'm playing with 3 others, they are all afk and i continue on. I still don't die, but it just takes longer to kill things, so a tank build is viable. A glass cannon barb isnt viable unless you use a range build

I mostly wanted to say good luck. All it takes is one lucky drop to really jump start a couple of nice upgrades. Once this happens 2-3 times all of a sudden you have some pretty good gear.

I'd definitely try out some different builds. I've personally played S/B Tank, DW Tank, 2-Hander Charge/EQ/WotB, DW Tornado, now i'm trying DW HotA(Smash) with Bash. I think the build variety of the best things about the Barb class.

Rend works amazingly, but not on single targets. Rend works perfect with my playstyle because i usually charge into a group and fire off rend...with about 5-6 monsters affected, i see my life visually going up. Then I fire off Revenge and i'm full. It also depends on whether or not rend crits as that will affect the amount of health you get. I'm at 43.5% crit chance so 43.5% of the time, rend is an amazing healer.

That's a good question about what my char has cost me so far...Probably not as much as you think because I actually found some of the gear and i usually only look for bargains on the AH. I'm on the AH for a good hr or 2 everyday looking for bargains. Sometimes i'm only on AH and i don't even play lol. Ya, for act 1, a glass cannon will work, but not when you reach act 3

Shoulders 2 mill buyout
Gloves 420k auction win
Chest Found
Bracers 40k auction win
Belt 7 mill buyout

Ring_2 found
Pants 500k buyout

Stormshield 10 mill buyout
Gems...made myself at a cost of 2.5 mill total

So that's a grand total of about 31 million. but really, once you are able to run through act 3 efficiently, the gold just flows.

this is the only reason that i haven't quit this game yet. Yesterday, i played a dual wield HotA build. It was definitely slower than my tank build because the mobs really make you work hard during the second part of act 3, but it was really satisfying smashing the baddies to pieces
