Best main character?

What is the best main character? I don't care about MF, I just want the fastest leveling/zone-clearing character in the game. I've tried a pure lightning sorc which is fast but very fragile. I tried a Hdin which is obviously the best, but I don't want 2 Paladins. I've seen Bowazons taking down big groups of cows in less than a second.

My second character is a smiter that I use for ubers, and it works like a charm. So I just need a reliable main character to do all the general PvM stuff, i.e finding keys, items, gear, etc.

try 200fcr light sorc

light sorc/hammerdins is best for fast pvm farming

60ias 99fcr javazons can be really great chaos runner if you got right gear!

So I'd imagine that would be something like: hoto, 2x 10% fcr rings, arach, mages, 35%fcr spirit, griffons, viper, 10% fcr amu? I'd imagine a character like that would be extremely fragile, and unable to survive WSK.

I'm going to try and craft a 20% FCR ring, do you need a high ilvl ring to do it? like one that drops from either baal or diablo?

200fcr is only necessary to hit the last breakpoint for teleport, 117 iirc is max for the Chain/lightning skills.

So hitting 200fcr isnt really necessary, still, with 200fcr there are many survivability slots to fill in!

Charms anyone?

Yes but do I need an amulet from a high level area for crafting the 20% FCR amulet, or can I basically use any ring dropped anywhere to get the necessary mods?

Hoto = 40
or
Wiz spike = 50

Spirit = 35
Vipermagi = 30
Magefist = 20
Arachnid = 20
Griffons = 25
= 170 or 180.

So 2x 10fcr rings + a 10fcr amulet is fine.

There is an additional lightning BP at 196 iirc. It's 190 something, anyway, and is totally worth the fcr investment. At that point it's also silly not to go for 200 fcr. . .
