    I may have problems with joining, because I still couldn't figure out why I couldn't join last weekend, although ports are forwarded and Diablo II is an exception in my Firewall options...

    but this aside: Sat morning (i.e. lunch time here) is fine! Although I will have to do some item switching along the way, because till level 34 I have to change my current gear every level I'll try to fit it all in the stash though!

    You're all on mumble, right? and you're all native speakers, right?

    Maybe try taking your firewall down next game? If you are around I can host a game now and you can try and join?

    What I'm saying in my above post:
    EX: I host. I am able to give my IP (real) and have people connect to me to play Diablo II. (All without Hamachi.) Ports, firewall, everything in working order.
    Player A cannot connect to be via tcp/ip. Player B can connect to via tcp/ip.
    Player B joins my game using my IP.
    Player A joins my Hamachi network (read virtual LAN) and joins my game using my HIP(Hamachi IP).
    Both players are able to join because: Hamachi doesn't change anything on your computer concerning tcp/ip. Hamachi creates a Virtual LAN where it is like Player A is directly connected in my house through my router. Player B does not have to be in my Hamachi Network to connect to me since he can connect to me via tcp/ip.

    Take pyro for instance. He never used Hamachi until Sunday. We connected to him through tcp/ip and Real IP addresses. Since he is in your network now, - or he can create his own - we can connect to him with either IP or HIP. Both will work. Both will lead to the same IP, MAC Address, and game instance.

    Ph, if you can only have 5 people in your group, and can host with tcp/ip as well, if anybody cannot connect with tcp/ip, they can join your network and connect that way. Others who can connect with tcp/ip can connect that way to free up spots in your network for those who cannot.



    It should work that way, I see no reason why it would not.

    Oh I see. Seems sort of redundant though because I can't think of why someone could join in hamachi but not with tcpip. I didn't think that's what you were trying to say. So for that reason I only see it useful for people who can't port forward. (I think I tried this but couldn't confirm if it worked before - I'll have to try it sometime)

    Possibly redundant, but some people no matter what they do and try cannot get tcp/ip to work for them. Hamachi pretty much works out of the box. Just join a network, and you can connect to the others who have joined in the same network.

    Anywho, Saturday sounds marvelous. Same time, different day, I'm assuming?

    Grisu, I should be able to host a game later tonight depending on how late you plan on staying up. I know you are in germany and all.

    Sorry guys, I have a rl/work conflict tomorrow morning and won't be able to play. I knew there was a possibility of this happening, but I just found out. Is there any interest in playing any during the weekdays?

    I'm able to play some during the weekdays. May noty play my main MP char, if that is fine by you.
