So go back to D2 and do 537312 Baal runs then.
Sigh can't you come with new arguments?
Why should blizzard FORCE people to play in 1 style? Instead of allowing multiple (legacy mind you those are the playstyles that made diablo series big) playstyles?
The point is: DIII quest rewards are a badly designed system in the first place.
I wouldn't mind having them removed entirely. It makes no difference for any regular playstyle and only matters for exploits. For people who worry about the lack of gold/exp just increase what you get from monsters/bosses to compensate.
Agreed.
For example there is one guy in act2 oasis who always drops a white maul. Give that maul a chance to be magical/rare/set/legendary and we are talking. Of course people will run it. Does it matter?
I don't think so. Because there should be similar rewards in every area/from every event.
Why should i care if some botter is exploiting the xp reward from events? Does this affect me? The events are randomly placed on the maps. If this is a problem it's blizzard's problem not mine.
I'm just a casual gamer who plays d3 when i have time. I clear monster and packs like everyone else and when i see an event i wanna do it because it's there in the game and it provides something different for a short time.
When i was leveling up my monk and wizard to 60 i always did all events because they gave a little xp which was nice for the time spent.
I still do events but only the ones i know give something for the effort. Like the dungeon event in act 2 with a big chest in the end. Nice!
Actually, it does affect you. This is why items cost so much in the AH. This is one of the biggest factors in inflation. This is why you can't keep up with the relative wealth by simply playing the game.
If you don't speculate in the AH, you don't have a prayer of actually keeping up with the relative wealth introduced into the game by botters.
Because the path of least resistance is the one that will always dominate. Boss runs were such a path in Diablo 2. You had more "options," but such an illusion lasts only for so long.
I don't remember having a ton of playstyle options in Diablo 2. Having 6-8 viable builds in the game coupled with the necessity for boss runs seems to mirror the lack of choice you're stating Diablo 3 has.
You can still do boss runs. It's just not the most efficient. It seems to me that you're most upset over the fact that boss runs are no longer the most efficient.
Not everyone did baal runs only in d2. My throwbarb were clearing all types of areas where those monsters that could drop everything were.
You know that cellar in act 2, the cave in act 1, pindle skin and the ice cave in act 5 and what not.
