As for the new changes I swapped LTK for ally , it works well keeping elites interrupted and I was getting 250k crits but its no where near the DPS /utility of air ally. My gear doesn't really support spir spender based DPS anyway, so I can't justify anything over LTK's spir cost.

Though I would have liked SSS with a reduced cooldown time a bit more, the massive damage was enough to get it back to the bar. Also swiched MOE to conviction, to speed up killing mobs, and still have good survivability.
I've added SSS with the AOE rune, it's great at clearing mobs and does decent pack damage if you can get the pack pretty tight.
the main problem is the monk that the weaponspeed and spirit regeneration of the monk are so closely tiied together ;
id argue that our skills are not more or less damaging / cost effective than other skills ; the main problem though ; we just cannot gain spirit.
*Mana is a whooping 45 / sec default. Gruesome feast is great a getting mana
*Wizards have 10 ap / sec and ap on crit is pretty much the best class specefic affix in the game
*DH have a split ressource system for defensive and offensive skills which makes them more versatile in general.
also they have plenty of base hatred reg. and very very cost effecient Hatred spender. Chakram / multishot / elemental arrow. i would give my left arm for a skill with that cost / to AE dmg ratio
Baba 15 rage on crit battlerage and 18 crit bonus just by choosing the right passives / weapons ... combine that with a certain gearlevel and wotb and you get 10 extra crit and 25 IAS with Infinite WOTB.
Monk has no dynamic interacting mechanics ( eg Spirit on crit , spirit on kill , spirit on health globe ) or cost-efficient skills like these. all skills that can provide extra spirit are **** and do not offset the loss of a conviction mantra a OWE or StI or even resolve.
and given that they buffed lashing tail kick in the same way they buffed Wave of Light. its still the worst of all spirit ,no the worst of all Ressource spender of all classes.
SSS has the potential to be something okayish , though i still think that the runes are a joke. not 1 ounce of creativity in there.
Yes they have earned a place on my bar.
I use cyclone strike to pull monsters close, palm strike to tag a few for aoe damage and chain reaction, and sss with the aoe rune to finish them off.
Works like a charm.
sss doubles as a panic skill as well. gives a few seconds invulnerability during the animation.
Not really, no. Stuff like sweeping winds, blinding flash, serenity, are still just too good not to use.
Hmmm, maybe SSS/FO, I had moderate success with it, but Blinding Flash looks more solid for the time being, especially in multiplayer.
I replaced the mystic ally with seven sided strike (fulminating onslaught rune), since he kept getting killed in act 2 very quickly.
