The MP forum is great You need a trader profile to MP (or so I would assume) so that we know you're on the same page with those you want to play with.

No. Players post their IP or hamachi networks.

Like Pharphis said, first be sure to read all the rules (several times) and let people get to know you. A trader profile is required for trading and encouraged for MP.

I've never done the gomule back-up thing, but that's what I've heard other people say. I would assume that your most recent few back-ups should contain what you want.

GoMule has a feature that can detect duped items, so if you play around with backups and whatnot, double check to make sure.
