CaptainFalcon bid farewell to Fiona and hired Zanarhi, the prayer merc.
Gambled a magic poleaxe with 23ed for the new merc. When I get the cube I will make him a savage weapon. Failing that, I'll try to gamble pikes.
Zanarhi sure knows how to kill things. Captain Falcon watches him to be sure he's doing it right.
Cleared rocky waste, dry hills, and half of far oasis to the waypoint.
Bought ocher gloves of wealth to replace the old glowing gloves.
Then, bought sturdy gloves of fortune to replace those, although I'm hanging on to anything with lightning resist right now, in case I don't find something better for Diablo when I get there.

Falcon Punched a Berserker spear cat.
I've noticed how monsters tend to group up around the merc, making the charge positioning difficult. After the treasure hunt, I think I will try to use a strong rogue (if I find a Ko rune) or an Iron Wolf (never used one before, could be cool depending on what his AI is like).
Made lvl 22, continued to put points into Holy Fire. Even though holy fire is weak, I think it will be my best source of damage until I can find some +min damage gear.
Act 2 continues.
Falcon Kicked a bunch of urns in Halls of the Dead.
Gambled a pike for Zanarhi; nothing special, but it does the job.
Got the Cube.
Shopped a 3 socket breastplate from Fara.
Found a rare amulet with a little bit of mf, so using it for now.

Did the Sewers, killed Radament. He dropped an Infernal Torch. Not quite what I meant by +min damage gear, lol.

cubed 2 savage polearms: one is a savage halberd of carnage that does 20-90 damage. Zanarhi is using that now.

Loving reading the progress here, do sol runes only add min dmg when socketed in weapons?
@Korlic - I would say that this isn't the best way to highlight the power of charge. Don't go base vita/titan. Also, get thee a weapon for all that ED multiplication to work with. Charge itself is quite fun, and I do think it would be viable with more proper gear. This isn't stopping me from continuing the crazy though.
@Twibz - Thanks! Yes, sadly Sol runes in armor give 'Damage reduced by 7' instead.

Did the Maggot Lair. Or rather, Zanarhi did (because he has more mf). But CaptainFalcon was ready to help at any time.

Gambled a plated belt of self repair. Yay potion slots.
Found an amulet with more mf.
Time to cube some jewelry in hopes of more mf.

got the viper amulet. There were so many monsters on Claw Viper Temple lvl 2 that CaptainFalcon had to help the merc fight. There was no time to charge a falcon punch, so he just used regular punches. That's not a problem, because right now, the difference between regular attack and Charge is about 6 damage.
bought a 2 socket bone shield in case I choose to go with an Iron Wolf later.

bought some gloves of fortune with 11 fire resist for later.
found a red grand charm with +1min damage. That actually adds 5min damage to charge and 3min damage with zeal.
I kept it in my inventory for /players 1 Duriel and zealed him to try to counter the slow from his holy freeze. He hit hard, and I had to return to town for more purple pots from my stash, but silly Zanarhi didn't die. Duriel did. He dropped Gorefoot. Silly blue unique for barbs. If only CaptainFalcon could leap.
