Huzzah, as of tomorrow when you lose your max level HC char, not only do you lose the character AND the character's gear, you lose all the "paragon" levels too. Take that, hardcore community!
Where before you didn't have anything to lose other than a max level 60 character on which you spent days and weeks.
I don't see much difference.
I like this change it! This means that your HC character gradually gets stronger (even after 60). The MF bonus will be nice (although I doubt much progression beyond a few dozen levels of paragon. This will also motivate progression in the game since you get more paragon experience at later inferno acts.
Between paragon and the upcoming 4x magic drop rate on white mobs, clearing acts (and just champ packs) will be rewarding and worthwhile.
I think this is a great addition for HC, especially since it's much harder to stack MF in HC.
I must say, I'm fairly excited for this addition to the game! Now grinding for items will also be leveling for items!

I'm pretty psyched about this patch in general. The AH changes they are making will be good. Lots of good stuff in this patch!
Eschew obfuscation!
I just wish there were Monk survivability/leech changes coming - I still don't have room on my bar for a spirit spender that's not a mantra, a heal, an invulnerability, or a CC. Though I have tried mixing in Sweeping Wind in lieu of the heal.
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but even with 56% or so DR from armor and 860+ all res, I feel like I'm taking massive damage in Inferno, and one frozen orb with Serenity on cooldown will give me Deeds.
Definitely makes the death penalty feel bigger, but I don't really consider that a bad thing.
Paragon levels are a great addition. It feel weird to do that instead of raising the level cap, but I love the idea of slowly getting an alternative form of MF so I'm on board.
I think this patch is going to get me to at least come back to the game and give it another shot.
