Upping white monster magic drop rate will save this game

I think this update in 1.04 will save the game, and here's why. My wife and I are in the same boat as, I believe, many people. We have good enough gear to kill the whites in Inferno but once it comes time to kill a boss pack we get freaking roasted. It was getting to the point that the game just wasn't fun. You can only get so many ilvl 53 rares and run the same section of Act III Hell so many times before you just say, "**** it." In Inferno, there is a greater chance of those higher ilvls to drop, so once 1.04 comes out we will actually be able to farm Inferno until we get enough gear to kill bosses. This has already reinvigorated my interest in D3 after not playing it for a month.

    Yeah?
    No?

Try again. If you are struggling to kill champion/elite packs in act1 inferno you will struggle to kill white mobs in 1.0.4 because their damage and hit points will be buffed.

Where have they said the damage will be buffed? The hit point buff is 5-10% from what I recall reading, not anything significant.

Ehhh, I dunno. It's a 25% buff, correct? I think we should be able to still play through it pretty easily. 25% isn't so much that it will instantly gimp us as champions do so much more dmg that regular whites.

Edit: oh is it only 5-10%?

Here's the real info: So, in 1.0.4 we’re increasing the health of normal monsters by approximately 5%-10% in Inferno, but also increasing the likelihood they drop magic or rare items by a factor of four. We’re correspondingly lowering the health of Champions and Rares by 10-25% and editing specific affixes to shrink the difficulty gap. We’re still working on those numbers, but that’s approximately what we’re shooting for.

So, yeah, we won't have problems.

Yeah. If you and your wife play together in multiplayer games, monsters have less hp in spite of the base hitpoint increase because of the multiplayer penalty being decreased.

Yupp, the multiplayer penalty was the real problem imo. Now I'll actually play with other people than myself and will get rewarded for it(!)
