Battle-net account hacked - What to do to recover it?

Hi,

my battlenet account was hacked last week and I do not know what to do to recover it. In fact, someone changed my e-mail associated to my account so I can no longer have access to it.

I'm sure it happened to some of you here and I would like to know how you handled it.

I did tried to make a ticket but I don't even think they read it and they say it has been resolved.

Go to the battlenet Website, login and made a ticket. The customer service will send you an email with blabla and the possibility, to recover your account.

not sure how that'll work if they've changed the associated address as the OP states, phone call is your only hope probably.

They can see which email address that registered the account before it was stolen.

Ahh man I feel for you. Just got hacked aswell, like some hours ago. Dunno how, and even got authenticator attached to my account :O
Im hoping for a rollback, If not, then im off to other things in life.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they can give you a restore.

Do you authenticate manually or let it remember you?

It reminds me to do so, once A week i believe. Just changed it to every time.

But still, If you access the account from another computer, it will ask you for auth code. So I really dont know, how it could happen. Doing a full reinstall now. And getting some better firewall and antivirus options. Gotta be some malware, viras or what have we.

I've heard that they can mimic your IP or something like that. But I think a while back they were just bypassing it altogether, but that was when they hacked the server and we had to reset our passwords.

I've always left mine set to always ask.

Btw thank you for talking with me about this stuff.

I actually really had a bad day, because of my account being hacked. So many hours of joy, grinding and fun - just gone, simple because of a hack.

Got a roll back. Doing a full reinstall of windows, drivers etc, - looking forward to see my account again, and how long back it was rolled.

Ahh man - when I hear you talking about when we had to reset our passwords. I did not do that. Well, maybe thats how they hacked my account.
