Almost doubled my gold with Fiery Brimstone

Just a small investment. I predicted the Legendary preview would cause a spike in Fiery Brimstone. I predicted this long before it was even announced doing so, because Legendaries were obviously going to get buffed due to their crap-bad-terrible-ness. I also knew most people wouldn't stop to think that only a small number of Legendaries can be crafted, and that some (Helm of Command, etc.) won't even be changed.


pre-preview, bought: 10 fiery brimstone, 210k each, 2.1million

~3 hours post-preview, sold: 10 fiery brimstone, ~440k each, 4.4million * .85 = 3.74million


3.74/2.1 = 78% increase in gold

... from doing practically no work.

This was a small endeavor; had I more gold, say 50million, things would've slightly fluctuated but in general it'd be the same. That 15% fee is what you have to watch out for.

Not bad, but I've been buying them up as much as my gold allows for at least a month - much like the poster above me suggests.

I've bought many at ~80k and I've bought and resold in quick succession when I saw prices fluctuating. Anyway, Keep an eye on these, they may be a good source of speculation for a couple of weeks.

Only sold 50 @ roughly 280k from the ones I bought at 80-100k but yeah it was a nice investment.

Yes it did, but at that time I had spent most of my gold on items, so I couldn't invest a lot then.
