Re: Implications for 1.0.4 on monk builds video

I've noticed two different descriptions of new The Guardians Path:
at diablofans: While dual-wielding, you gain a 15% chance to dodge incoming attacks. While using a two-handed weapon, all Spirit generation is increased by 35% (up from 25%)

at d3db: While using a two-handed weapon, spirit regeneration is increased by 35% (up from 25%).

Most important thing is that Monk can generating Spirit only from blue skills and REgenerating from items and passives or MoH.

IMHO for 2handers more sexy is buff for regeneration.

I agree with you but I suspect diablofans has it right and not d3db.

Meh still a weak passive - a 2h will attack more slowly, and that's a bigger factor than 35%...

I was wrong about The Guardian's Path and Templar's Inspire.
The character window does not show info about increased regeneration from these skills, but they works!
    I did test.

With the Guardian's Path and empty Spirit bubble, I use daibo with 2.17 Spi/s. Spirit went to maximum 150 points in 50 seconds.
    2.17 + 25% +12% = 2.7125 Spi/s + 0.8029 Spi/s = 2.9729 Spi/s
    150 max Spirit / 2.9729 Spi/s = 50 s.

It means, that for maximum regeneration build, daibo with 2.5 Spi/s with The Guardian's Path will be better than 2 claws with 2.5 Spi/s (in 1.0.4)

Fascinating. So many build options in my mind now

Could you imagine a 1600 legendary daibo that increased the damage of Wave of Light by say 30-45% with +2.5 sp/s.... The possibilities!

Hand of Ytar is very potent skill. With another affix -5 Spirit to Lashing Tail Kick, it would be spammable for ever.
Cost 25 Spirit with maximum Spirit regen ca. 24 Spi/sec.
Hand of Ytar = small AoE, ranged skill, slows targets
