What a flaming BS question. No one has ever suggested that, outside of the froth-mouthed RW.

Not taking the survey. It's about as shallow as a rain puddle in my driveway.
Under Obamacare, birth control is a preventative medicine. Preventing pregancies lowers costs, hence preventative. I agree it's an ancillary argument (a distraction really), but it's one that really riled up the hyper-religious folk.

they don't have to. it's how much you agree with each candidate. so if two candidates happen to agree on an issue, you might agree with both.

It was the whole "free" thing that got me wound up. Of course it's not free. The women using their benefits in order to obtain BC are still paying premiums to whichever health ins. co. in order to obtain said benefits. And as Nazdakka pointed out, birth control is far less expensive for an insurance co. to cover than pregnancy, childbirth and resulting childcare.

Lots of said women are also married, and are using BC for actual "family planning" purposes. Women's access to BC benefits men, too.

No argument here. I'd rather no prescriptions were covered, because I think the price of would drop considerably if women could just go to the store and buy the medicine they need, but if we're going to cover prescriptions, then specifically not covering birth control is dumb. Birth control is certainly more preventative than my allergy medicine. Babies cost way more than sneezing.

They did eventually make my allergy meds over the counter a few years ago. the price went way down, but then they weren't covered on my health insurance so they were costing ME money instead of the insurance company, and now I only take them sparingly. Doing my part to save on healthcare. sorry if i sneeze on you.
