    Give me some more advice

    Hi there,

I wish to go farming act 2.. While I might actually beat act 2, it goes so slowly I don't care as I can't farm it. My gear consists of:

What slots should I upgrade? Regarding OWE; I plan to go for physical resistance in the end as my amulet is quite nice already?

Re: Give me some more advice

ok biggest weakness ; rings and gloves.

rings can roll with up to 9 IAS , crit can be good too but from a budget standpoint i'd take IAS , unless you can afford IAS , crit

same for gloves , they can roll double dex - so up 300 dex total also you want to get 10 crit or 9 Ias on them - better yet both ...
but one of the 2 is must have ; i cant say that you will perform better by just getting 10 ias gloves it also depends on the remaining stats.

my point is their are very few item slots which allow you to get crit and / or IAS. so there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't take advantage of it.

also critdmg. you lack critdmg ; thats huge problem ; i know critdmg is effective popular and Expensive. but just ~100 critdmg will boost your current dps by huge deal.

on your Amu. it is decent but not outstanding , as Monk id always try to get something like ~100 dex and 9 Ias / 8 crit / ~500 LOH
    (atleast 2 of the 3.)

i also think that going Physical res is no good idea for OWE . when it comes to auction house pricing ...

Edit Belt Pants bracer could also need some upgrading :X

remember Armor , all res , dex , vit , lifereg , single res , crit

these are all good for monk ; obv not all items will have the perfect mix but neglecting stats which seem pvitol to the item (eg dex , vit ) can still net you incrible deals.

EDIT: also there is no reason EVER to not take Sweeping wind, you only have 5% crit now but its still worth it. with just 15% crit cyclone already becomes the best damage dealing sweeping wind variant in the bunch. so you really shouldn't miss out.

Well what spell should I take out then? I really wish to keep dashing strike as that's totally my playstyle, and the others are almost necessary - should I take out either serenity or blinding flash? maybe even heal (though than anything I have to kite would become incredibly hard).

It also seems I have to upgrade just about everything lol :P. Problem is, if I upgrade I"m also looking for some MF - there's no point in going to the next acts if I can't MF there.

Re: Give me some more advice

    Summary:

    Ias can be found on:
    1. Weapon 12%
    2. Ring 9%
    3. Gloves and amulet both 9%

Crit damage can be found on:
    1. Weapon 200%
    2. Amulet 65%
    3. Gloves 50%
    4. Ring 34%

Crit chance can be found on:
    1. Gloves 10%
    2. Amulet 8.5%
    3. Helm 6%
    4. Bracers 6%
    5. Ring 4.5%

Only dex available on torso, leggings, shoulders, belt, boots so these parts tend to be the cheapest to upgrade.

A quick look at your gear reveals you have no crit chance on the bracers. This isn't too expensive to get.
I like your helm but you can get one with up to 6% crit chance. Maybe something to consider.
Also gloves are lacking all dps modifiers. Rings and amulet likewise.

I think your gloves is what you should consider upgrading first.

And contrary to popular belief, you can find stuff without going crazy with mf. The valour buff is quite enough.

Is crit (chance) that good? Considering from dex I also get armour & dodge...

Re: Give me some more advice

You do not need any crit chance, you need a good lawyer. Because Blizzard is gonna have one when you bring your lawsuit!

But yeah, crit chance is that good if you have enough extra crit dmg. Which also is why dualwield can be that good, as it gives you a lot of crit dmg. Thing is, the more base dmg and the more dex you have the better crit becomes and vice versa.
Also, crit chance can be found on shield with 10%.
