I have to agree with some of the comments already posted. Don't just adjust damage values, that isn't the solution to all the problems. Will I use Bola shot now because of the buffed damage? Nope. Why? Because I want to be able to kill elites in an efficient manner. And Hungering Arrow still is the king for that. Still, my love goes out to Evasive Fire, it's a great skill, and I will use that a lot when I make my HC DH eventually.
Does Cluster Arrow need a buff? No it doesn't.
They love to compare skills, just look at their Hydra remark. But really, I don't feel that any skills of the DH is as well designed as Hydra. Or the Monk's Mantras. Or Wrath of the Berserker, ...
Get it? I want skill rune upgrades. Not just damage upgrades.
Everything in my DH's current loadout feels useful and effective. I'm not sure that I'll feel compelled to switch anything around.
I'll try out the new improved Rain of Vengeance to see if it's a good elite-pack nuke, but whatever I gave up for it, would be missed.
Exactly! Most people use either a glass cannon-ish build with Smoke Screen + Vault/Caltrops + Preparation + Gloom, or a tank build with Grenades. Don't see much of the current upgrades changing that.
Bola Shot was already quite useful (to me) when you had a group. I don't see it replacing most people's hungering arrow, but for me I really like the way bola shot works, especially with ranged enemies who move toward eachother while kiting you. I always wondered why people chose spray of teeth over bola shot, but I guess people are just to worried about the initial wait peiod of not doing any damage. I will agree what bola shot really needed was for all explosions to go off when the enemy dies, not just one.
I am just happy there wasn't an announced nerf of caltrops. Maybe they saw the negative reaction to the wiz nerf and figured to save it until patch notes and make everyone unhappy at the same time.
