Best Non FCR Shield

Whats the best PvM sorc shield available if FCR isnt a issue?

EDIT: Well it doesnt have to be NON FCR of course but that's not a priority for me.

All of those are great if you are going max block, or need some serious resistance. But if you are not, spirit still tops them regardless of FCR.

Pyro: Another reason for not going spirit could be the big strength requirements.

Stormshield is good to I remember everyone using them before runewords or lidless eye.

Storm Shield by far If you are using Meteor or Firewall, many ppl still consider a max block SS build. Stormshield + Shako gives you a 45 procent DMR.

I agree with Zaph, but if strength requirements aren't an issue, then SS is easily one of the best 3. Spirit is obviously nice for the skills/mana, but SS just has such great defensive abilities. Other main option I'd say is Mosers. Cheap and very good.

Someone recommended me "Phoenix" runeword if you're completely loaded with runes. Depending on what sort of pvm you want to do, I suppose. For sorcs I never really got behind using a good defensive shield because except for stats like resists or life they're pretty much useless since you shouldn't be taking hits anyways.

Phoenix grants redemption aura, which will be a semi steady source of life/mana regen. Some sorcys use it for baal running if resists/fcr are not a priority.

You could do Phoenix if you are just unreasonably wealthy, but overall the mods aren't all that great for a caster unless you are doing a fire oriented build due to the -enemy fire resitance that it provides.
