yay!, they look great!
The improvements do look promising. Along with buffs to underused/underpowered skills, maybe we'll now have some "go to" items to go along with more varied builds.
If that's the case, I may go ahead and start using the GAH. Been thinking about it anyway - you can get some half decent gear for chump change now. We'll see what changes they make as far as farming goes. I've been getting kinda burnt out on it as of late.
Looks good! Too bad the items which dropped pre-1.04 remain the same, as I have a skycutter lying in the stash
They've stood fast on the drop rate issue, indicating that they have no plans on changing it. For me, it's about 100 hours/drop... probably a little faster. It would take decades to complete a grail in d3. Even at 10 times the rate, a solo player couldn't ever expect to complete the grail. I am excited about having some collectables though. It does seem that some are a bit over the edge. My bet is we'll see people able to overpower inferno.
Now we just need an ATMA for D3
Since I haven't figured out a way to actually achieve a grail for D3, I'm going to simply create a spreadsheet and when a legendary drops, check it off the list and try to get the grail that way.
My first thought is get these items while you can because I have the feeling that down the road these will be like pre 1.09 uniques, except that you won't ever be able to go back and farm them once later patches come out. It's going to be like the wild wild west for uniques. My goal from now to patch 1.04 is going to be to boost my MF as high as possible for unique farming in 1.04.
There is already a lot of people steamrolling inferno, without 50% extra cold damage! I do like the new frosties for use with frost arrow, now we need a good ctc freeze.
One thing I was hoping for was to have items have class specific passives on them, or additional runes for certain items. There are a lot of skills that would fit well with a double stacked rune. The barb fury generators or demon hunter discipline using skills would benefit from this, because there are a lot of times I would like to use different ones for variety.

Oh, and the new multiplayer changes will work great, if you have some buddies. Two stack 350+ mf while two do the killing. Or one stacks one kills, 175% hp is a lot better than 220 for one person to handle.
