crunshi ii: i think it's common knowledge the bots go nuts in d3 ah.
Today the error was slightly different though, and was very benificiary for me! After a while I started noticing new items did appear but without buyout prices, i tried posting one myself (not one i cared for much ofcourse), without buyout, and that did work! I figured other people noticed that as well, and thought people (or bots) would go in a bid war over their items, while i also considered doing the same for a short time, I didn't think this would happen on average items. Just on the very top tier items. So instead i started searching for the very good affix combinations on gloves, rings and weapons, helms etc, but not care about main stat or vit, or the highest possible number in that affix. 8CC+20%crit damage +150 LOH on rings for example. And there were many being posted for 2000g bid. So I just started bidding on as many as possible. If overbid I get money back, else a nice item. nothing to lose realy. And I ended up with 5 or 6 good items which normally would have been between 500k and 3-4 million maybe, for very cheap. highest was 36k. On many others i was overbid, but not like crazy and didnt want to look on AH all the time for a war, so I am happy in the end! Next weekend I want a 'normal' AH though
So what you are saying is that we can put up items if we leave the buyout value blank?
Well, I can only speak for myself ofcourse, but yesterday morning i wasn't able to post items, saw some new 1d11h items appearing without BO and tried that too with a junk item, which also posted correct without buyout.
Anyway, I searched ah for half an hour, placed a few cheap bids, logged off, and when I came back in the afternoon, I didn't notice any issues with posting, or AH in general. and the bids from that morning still showed up correct in the log.
The AH seems to be back to normal this morning.
good. time to quickly sell my mediocre gear for too much gold before we can search with 6 affixes upcoming patch.
