Why are Exquisite essence prices soaring?

In NA, essence prices dropped too. Not quite to the pre-1.04 announcement levels, but far below what they were just before the patch came out.

Well-rolled 62s are way better than what would be considered an "average" roll of a 63. And since they are much more common than 63s and can have just as many sockets, they make the weapon prices of anything but the most expensive ones drop like crazy. There are already quite a few 1-1.1k dps 62 1h weapons on the AH, and I bet with time there will be a lot more. If you bought a weapon right before the patch cam out, tough luck, it'll be worth a lot less now and keep losing value fast until the market normalizes with new values.

Of course, how long crafting will be worth it (if it's actually still worth it or if the initial "let's get some awesome 62s out there before the market is flooded" is already over) is unknown. And yes, crafting materials seemed to have had an over-hype, as you can see the prices dropping back down.

The are almost down to the 800G they were earlier. Too bad there is no real reason to buy them for crafting any longer. It's so hard to sell crafted armor and make a profit today imo.
