I liked the movie on some level because it satirizes politics in general even though it was kind of stupid.
And what's up with the movie taking place in North Carolina's Fourteenth Congressional District? I'm a huge political nerd and my spider sense went off. I did some googling and noticed that North Carolina currently has thirteen congressional districts and will still have thirteen congressional districts for the next ten years after the current redistricting.
I eagerly wanted to post this on imdb.com, but they asked me to authenticate my account and I certainly didn't want to post my freaking credit card information. What is that? Why do they even want me authenticate my account?
EDIT: As I typed this post, I realized that they had some non-presidential primaries in the state of Hawaii for the Senate and House of Representatives and the Senate election looks a lot like a repeat of the 2002 gubernatorial election in Hawaii.
I think it taking place in a district that doesn't exists was exactly the point, just like how phone numbers in movies always start with "555-"
Wait What my post here is gone?

Oh wait
It's False alternatives, don't vote.
Yes I said it.
Aside from it being the same Will Ferrell vehicle mindlessly greenlit by every studio since 2002, this one just looked too painfully stupid to even go near. But I did hear about that little fact while the local news down here were going crazy over it, and I think it is a clever idea. Although a movie centered around NC's 12th district would be hilarious.
You're a huge political nerd and that's the only thing that bothered you? Sounds like a win.
