This guy has a 1160 dps demolisher.
I don't get how this is even possible - can someone try and figure out which affixes are on the weapon?
TOP Base damage for a demolisher is 191-354 (1.2 APS = 327 dps)
So let's say that's his base.
Grim: 50%
Death: 278-559
Min: 191*1.5+278 = 564... yet his min is 770!!! How is this possible?
Max: 354*1.5+559 = 1090, his is 1124, a little higher still.
Anyone care to explain this??? Or am I missing something?

Look at my spear now:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/M.../hero/23742449
Base dmg for a centurion spear:
214-320
I have
Death: 249-465
Grim: 39%
214*1.39+249 = 546, yet my min is 644! Once again a huge difference!
320*1.39+465=909, but it shows 945! A smaller difference but still.
Guys, what's going on, can anyone explain this?
Resolved on official forums:
This may be a tooltip issue or a blizzardism that's a little counterintuitive.The error appears to be on the tooltip actually.The max damage value that is on each weapon appears to be using the MIN value only on the base item's range.
Barbieemolisher Base (186-191)–(344-354) Damage
Flat bonus: 278-559% bonus: 50%
Listed Damage: 701-1124
(189+278)*1.5 = 700.5 -> seems ok
(344+559)*1.5 = 1354 -> hmm no good
but(189+559)*1.5 = 1122 -> pretty damn close.
Your weapon:Centurion spear base: 214-320
Flat bonus: 249-465% bonus: 39%
Listed damage: 644-945(214+249)*1.39 = 643.6 -> ok
(214+465)*1.39 = 943.8 -> confirmed!
I'll take a crack - based on what I understand from here:
http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/com...ed-in-diablo-3
For the 1 handed mace:
The base weapon is actually 191 min damage plus a damage delta of 354-191 = 163.
The death bonus actually gives: +278 to minimum damage and +281 delta.
Also, from the way the numbers work out, it looks like the 50% is added on top of everything at the end.
So, we get for the weapon damage with mods:
Min damage = (original min + bonus to min dmg)*(1+ damage percent/100)
Min damage = (191 + 278) *1.5 = 703.5
Max damage is slightly trickier, because you need to remember to adjust for the new min damage.
As far as I understand, the formula would be:
Max damage = (original min + bonus to min damage + new delta) * (1+damage percent/100)
It seems that the weapon doesn't "care" what the original delta was, so you can't just pull the base max damage and use it in the calculation, but you neet to sub in the new delta.
for the mace:
Max damage = (191+278+281)*1.5 = 1125
I can estimate that the base damage on his mace is actually 189, as the numbers work out to 700.5 and 1122.75, which should round up to the 701-1123 displayed on the profile page.
For your spear:
Original min = 214
Bonus min = 249
New delta = 465-219 = 216
So, min dmg = (214+249)*1.39 = 644
Max dmg = (214+249+216)*1.39 = 944
Hopefully that helps. I'm no expert on these calculations and get a bit confused by exactly how the whole delta thing works once you start adding rings and amulets in, but the math seems to work out the way I have it.
Edit: Awwww, ninja'ed by OP.
So the +damage mods are also considered in the damage % enhancers right?
(Weapon base damage + added damage modifiers)* enhanced damage %
Counter intuitive from the Diablo 2 standard of Edamage going on weapon base damage only
If anyone cares, the best possible mace would be:
1334 DPS
716 - 1287 Damage
1.332 Attack Speed
That's assuming your mods are:
Min/Max, 50% Damage, 11% Attack Speed, Socket, Crit Damage and +200 Main Stat. Pretty sure LoH is less desirable than +200 Main Stat, but maybe not.
And of course assuming that the Min/Max is what we think it is.
Sure the perfect mace isn't 1337 dps?
