    Which resist for OWE?

Is there a consideration for picking which resist to stack for use with OWE other than which one commands the least cost premium on the AH? If that's the only concern, which resist do people think is best to stack? I'm currently stacking Arcane, but I'm not sure if that's really the best or not; wouldn't a lot of non-monks want at least some Arcane resist, if it happens to come along, for a little bit of an edge against Arcane Enchanted elites? Perhaps cold might command less of a premium?

Anyway, just looking to hear other people's thoughts on the subject.

One these days I found a near perfect Andariel's Visage helm and then I found myself wanting to stack poison. Just saying.

I'd go with lightning or cold for cheapest... probly lightning...

Demon hunters (the other people who want dex gear) don't really care that much about arcane. They're more likely to be worried about physical and fire, so those are probably the ones that will be higher in price. I personally went with cold, but arcane should be fine. There are certain legendaries that some people use which marry them to fire as their element, but honestly they're not even that good, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Re: Which resist for OWE?

Cold is, by far, the least useful resistance; when monsters use cold attacks, you're worried about the cc effect on you, not the damage itself (which cold resist doesn't help with at all).

However, with the possible exceptions of physical and (maybe) fire resistance, no one actually shops for individual resistances... except to power One With Everything. So it's not so much which resist is better, because they're all crap; it's what resist the other monks have decided to pick. Good luck.

That said, I'd suggest you poison, since you can wear a nice socketed Andariel's Visage to get ias, cc, good dex and some resist from poison stacking.

Agreed - as long as it's not physical or fire, you can pretty much consider the single resistances equal...

Well, if you find yourself a pair of firewalkers fire resist may be a really nice way to go :P I like 300dex on boots :o And always fun with nice effects!

Is it only gloves and boots that can get 300 dex?

    Re: Which resist for OWE?

According to the max attributes spreadsheet someone posted earlier: weapon, gloves, amulet and boots can have 300 dex.
