but for me, if they are trying to do something i am all good.
While they had no done anything i am still playing thou.
Well, the change list is looking good (the one they released today on the blog).
... and that announcement made the Brimstones go up momentarily to 350k a few minutes ago... back down to 200k now... I just sold 84 of 'em for 300k/e (paid 150k/e for those yesterday!!)
Take a look at the recipe prices. Smart people instantly realized that crafted weapons will be a lot more valuable, and the prices went up anywhere between 4x to 30x.
Lulz.
Someone above posted that it would be "ludicrous to invest too much hope in 1.04" ... I wholeheartedly agree, but for a different reason.
They can band-aid this game in a million ways, but if they do not address the one, single most important issue, then nothing will ever change. That issue is:
The impossibility of finding items on your own that can get you to the end of Inferno.
And folks, they will never ever "fix" that because in Blizzard's opinion, this aspect of the game is performing exactly as envisioned, binding us to the GAH-RMAH mechanism as intended.
The things they're fixing? Minor issues. Imagine if we could already progress through Inferno by farming our own items. How much would we care about these changes they're announcing? They would be seen as minor tweaks. The only reason we may see them now as game-changing is because the above mentioned main issue is what is breaking the game.
I think the community should unite in one voice and say what it is we want: item drops that can sustain solo-play to the end of inferno. Force Blizzard to tell us "But that is not the way the game was intended on working", exposing the ridiculous premise that D3 is based on.
Pro-tip:The impossibility of finding items on your own that can get you to the end of Inferno.
Inferno nerfs and class buffs make it easier to beat Inferno with the items you find.
True, but it also depends on the degree to which these things are implemented. They nerfed Inferno in 1.03, but most people, including myself, still found it to be grossly over-tuned and un-fun. Hopefully 1.04 will actually see balance and viability with items that we can actually find instead of having to go to the AH but I'm not holding my breath. That said, it is good to see the enrage timers, elites full health regen, Invulnerable Minions, and the stupid repair costs go. These cheezy mechanics will NOT be missed. Now, they just need to take Vortex out, and all will be good
