    Unless you have very high dps electrocute is just too weak past the beginning of act 1 inferno. The stun is unreliable and the 1.5 seconds is only in normal mode i think.

    I'm sure it's viable but i wonder if blizzard would not be more effective than two signature spells.

    Each target hit by lightning blast has an 8%*0.167 = 1.34% chance to be stunned.
    Each target hit by piercing orb has an 8%*0.25 = 2% chance to be stunned.

    In short - not enough stuns to be worth it. Also two signature spells is kind of pointless. Particularly when they seem to be intended to do the same thing.

    Agreed. But the lack of elemental spells barring the hydra skill is really why none of those skills are used.

    Would've been so happy if they'd added a lightning based blizzard to the rune pool. Or perhaps an elemental archon instead of (or in addition to!?) the damage one.

    Off the top of my head, these skills could use a lightning rune:
    Wave of Force
    Energy Twister (seriously why wasn't that in the vanilla!?)
    Familiar
    Archon (Really, I would rather have had all the archon runes be separate elements, just like the hydra rune, except 248375927304 times more fun.)
    Energy Armor (it's... energy armor for chrissake)
    Explosive Blast (EMP, anyone?)
    Magic Missile (or just change another sig skill so that you can throw a d2 style lightning bolt - seriously miss that skill)
    Disintegrate (Would actually rather this skill be changed to a ray of shock type skill with appropriate runes.)
    Slow Time (Energy field, anyone?)
    Blizzard (Lightning storm...? Seems pretty straightforward to me, at least.)

    Off the top of my head, these skills could use a fire rune:
    Wave of Force
    Energy Twister (Would be so badass)
    Magic Missile (Classic firebolt, anyone?)
    Blizzard (Rain of Chaos, anyone? I mean this could even be an arcane dmg skill and I wouldn't give a feck.)
    Magic Weapon (Seriously, where's my enchanted flaming sword from d2... that build was soooo fun.)
    Storm Armor (Super Sayain me cap'n! Would be dripping with epic if I could get a crackling, fiery glowing aura.)
    Archon (Gimme.... This should've been the first rune you get for Archon anyway....)
    Arcane Orb (Gigantic fireball from the tips of my fingers? Unoriginal, but still good classic fun.)
    Arcane Torrent (Can you imagine if the death blossom skill caused fireflowers to bloom wherever it landed? I'm sure it'd see more use if it did - I'd at least use it for fun. - actually, that might be a good skill for CM builds if it did DOT after it lands, like meteor.)
    Diamond Skin (Molten Skin causes flames to pool from you? Would also be cool with CM builds, but would really be neat for any sort of battlecasting wizard.)
