My DPS is 14.5k
I currently have 976 Physical resistance which is 76.48% reduced damage from physical attacks. But I only have 3946 armor which is only 56.81% reduction of ALL damage. I am watching videos of people doing inferno butcher and they all have around 7-8k armor.
Should I switch my items more toward armor or will phys defend just as well from Butcher? I don't wanna lose my HC wiz
with hydra alone 14,5k is fine. Your defense is enough. Just avoid being hit and avoid fire. If you get pulled by his chain pop diamond skin. Just kite and you will be fine.
dps is enough, i made it with 13k.
but i had 850 (average) all ress and 7k armor and it was rly easy.
I think u can do it !
Alright I am going to go for it! Thanks guys! I will post back here with the result
A key piece of info missing is your Hitpoints.
The 3 main components of EHP (effective hit points OR effective health pool) is Armor, Resists, and Life/Hitpoints (for monks dodge is pretty major too).
Another thing you could try would be to use this site
http://rubensayshi.github.com/d3-ehp-calculator/
and calculate your EHP.for example my Witch Doctor is at 750,000 EHP and 11k DPS and handles butcher really easily. My barbarian had about 1.5Million EHP when he died in Act 2. I think he had something like 800,000 EHP when he first killed butcher, which was pretty easy. Just a guess, I think butcher is doable with 400,000 EHP or even less.
I stepped into the game and hit those frog things with Fast, Molten, Nightmare, and Reflects Damage and got destroyed. I lived with about 10% hp and decided Im done.... I have no clue how to beat this
It is okay to skip certain packs. Reset the game (or avoid them if that is possible). Fast on an already fast mob type can be quite a headache for wizards.
