However, I don't expect anything as mind-blowing as the pictures from the Voyager probes, by far the best things which were ever sent into space, even before Apollo 11. For me, the world stood still for some time when I saw that awesome stuff.

I think you don't know what makes up most Germany exports. Hint: It's not BMWs and nothing which needs TV adverts.

BMW doesn't really care who's buying their cars. They just want sell as many as possible, so of there's sa huge numbers os rich arseholes in thwe US, they will offer it to them. Besides, I guess we agree that the arsehole quote is bigger among rich persons.

In contrast, almost nobody buys US cars here at all. I have no personal experience, but I heard from Americans here that they can't compare, e.g when driving 120mph on our highways.

I can't understand that why people are so flared up about the pictures from mars being mostly black & white?
If all we wanted to accomplish was getting pictures from mars, I doubt we would actually get any sort of scientific progress.
