Is Temporal Flux triggered from weapon AP damage? Or do you have to use an Arcane Power based skill to get the slow trigger? I am using a weapon with added AP damage and I think it is being triggered because I see 'purple cloud' effects near enemies sometimes when they are being hit. I am not sure if this is just displaying some AP damage on the hit or the visualization of the Temporal Flux passive being activated. If anyone knows a bit more about Temporal Flux to answer this question it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
If you kill an enemy with a critical hit with arcane damage you will see purple stuff. The snare effect from temporal flux looks like a wavy ring around the enemy's feet.
Most wizard spells do a specific damage type, rather than inheriting the damage type of the weapon you're using. For example electrocute always does lightning damage. An arcane weapon won't make it do arcane damage, nor a cold weapon make it do cold damage. The only wizard spell that actually does your weapon's damage type is spectral blades.
Thanks magicrectangle. So I'll have to decide to either use an arcane power based skill, spectral blades with arcane damage weapon, or drop Temporal Flux as a passive. Good to know.
