Patch download almost every launch

Almost everytime I log in since the last patch, the box that pops up to play the game that downloads the patches, will download the last patch. I can't remember the number, but it's the patch with the description of the auction house buttons being grayed out properly. Before, a patch would download, and every login after that would say the game was up to date and I would go on to play the game. Now, everytime I launch the game, the latest patch will download. Can anybody explain why this is happening?

There is also a thread about this same issue on battlenet. It is the 1.03b patch and after reading the thread on bnet, I am not the only person with the problem. Of course there are no blue posts in the thread.

I was playing yesterday, and right in the middle of a champ pack, my screen went black and a box popped up asking permission to install a crucial patch for the D3 launcher. I accepted the prompt, it done its thing, and I went back to playing. Since then, the patch has not loaded when I start the game. I have not had anything like that happen before, so something must have been hung up somewhere and finally went through.
