Which is better? Im lvl 50
EDIT: So I ended up getting some cheap rings to test this and here is what I found:
Sacrificing 84 Vit for 30 All Res:
Lowered my max health by 7%
(New HP - 31344, Old HP - 33696)
Reduces damage from all sources by 5.73%
(Old reduction - 24.03%, New reduction - 28.38%)
So just looking at those numbers, it seems like vit is still more useful somehow

I actually have a similar question quite often. I have an amulet on my level 60 wizard that gives me 90 intelligence and 187 vitality. I have seen amulets that give like 100 intelligence 80 vitality but +25 all resists. So I am not sure if that 25 all resists is more important than the 107 vitality I lose.
It depends on a lot of your other stats but I'd imagine 20 all resists will almost always be better than 50 vit
Did some numbers if you guys wanna check them out
I did 24.03/28.38 to find the exact % OF the % gained if that makes sense lol
It's neither.
Before you were taking 75.97% of a monster's damage (i.e., reducing all damage by 24.03%), after you take 71.62% of a monster's damage, which is a spread of 4.35%, but is really a 5.73% reduction in actual damage taken relative to your beginning point (75.97x = 4.35 = 5.725944%)
Remember, going from, in the extreme case, 98% damage reduction to 99% damage reduction looks like only 1%, but it means you're taking 50% less damage than you were before (taking 2% before and 1% after).
