My use of the term psycho was in reference to being psychopathic, not psychotic. I just like to throw around the word psycho. It has a nice cathartic ring to it.
Polite at what cost? Constant fear of rubbing someone the wrong way? Don't get me wrong, I support concealed carry, as long as the (relatively few) people who do really know what the heck they're doing, and aren't just trigger-happy scaredy cats.
Valid point.
Whatevs, IMO Holmes is Evil and as sane as Evil ever is.
This was the norm in my childhood. Yes, there's a greater chance that drunken yahoos will kill themselves, their family, or passers-by, but traditional American behavior was one of armed private citizens. I doubt it's been more than 100 years since elementary school students would have been carrying rifles in class.
Only type I ever make.
Psychopaths aren't insane, they are very sane and calculating and fully culpable for their actions.
It was the norm in my father's youth where he grew up (I'll call it "the hills"), and it still makes him nervous when he goes back there. Namely, because all the things you just mentioned happened fairly regularly. They still do there, surprisingly. My great-grandfather was a police chief there and was ambushed and shot down because he actually tried to enforce the law.
You can call all of that anecdotal, but regardless, it colors my opinions with caution.
Oddly enough, psychopaths are often considered insane, though I get why you make the statement. One of the posters on the GW OTF was boasting about being one.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. Just like pederasty, child abduction, and J00ish blood sacrifice, the purported past frequency of occurrence is mythological at best. Back in Realityville, many statistics of this sort do not change over time, such as true poverty incidence.
You haven't had the stones since the War of 1812. I'd link to the Johnny Horton song, but I'm back at work.
Truer words...
Me personally? Me as an American? Me as a Brit? I haven't had the stones to have the Americans fight me since 150 years before I was born? Or all of the above?
Do you have any idea what you are trying to say? Should I be worried?
No linky? Oh. Is there any chance you could be a work 24/7/365? Cos, you know, I'd cope without the linky-linky, as a rule.I'd link to the Johnny Horton song, but I'm back at work.
If I don't send you back a short lob from time to time, you'll get dispirited and, oh I don't know, smash your racket and yell at the line judge and umpire. That's what you people do, isn't it?Truer words...
