The key thing is that you really need to avoid getting crowd controlled. Move out of the way of the orbs, and continue putting pressure on the elites. Getting CC'd for even a few seconds pretty much cancels your sustain (any Transcendence heals and LoH), and allows the elites to finish you in a full combo (basic attacks + any other damaging affixes). Getting CC'd is even worse than initially standing in some stuff on the ground, because you can at least respond to the latter more quickly.

It's all about positioning your character to abuse the map features to your advantage. Comes with a bit of practice, but you definitely have the stats to be able to deal with a lot of things being thrown your way. When you see the orbs forming on the ground, try to find a spot where you won't get caught.

Oh yes, I pretty much always use Shift (Space Bar for me) every time I cast my main attack. It just gives you so much control over your character and allows you to abuse the full ranges on your abilities. I almost never just click on a monster to attack it.

Smart cool down usage is another thing to practice. I'm very greedy with my cool downs, and almost never use my major defensive cool downs unless I happen to find myself in a bad situation, which is rare if you emphasize constantly repositioning your character in the most optimal way possible. For instance, if I had several orbs forming around me and I was also jailed, but I KNOW that I won't be near a spinning arcane thingy, I just eat the frozen orbs knowing that I will be safe. Only if I'm somehow right next to an arcane thingy will I pop Serenity. Learn to be very conservative with your cool downs. Do not just blow everything you have quickly. I have seen too many people on Hardcore actually open up on a dangerous mob with a defensive cool down, leaving them with nothing for the actual dangerous parts of the confrontation.

I think the 4,2 k armor is too low. You can use Seize the initiative passive, or mantra of evasion with hard target rune, or even an enchantress, to up your armor rating, if you haven't already. (I'm using all of them and have 6k+ with dual wielding)

    Re: getting pounded by elites

Dashing strike effectively neutralizes arcane, jailer, and frozen if it's used strategically. You are invulnerable while you are moving, so you can use it to dash out of danger when some arcane beams are converging on you, even if it means moving through the beams. Also, if you time your split second of invulnerability to coincide with when the frozen orbs pop, they will not effect you. You can dash while jailed, and even if you don't have a target, the short (~2m) range dash you are allowed is enough to move off desecration, and a couple short dashes can put you out of range of a frozen orb or arcane sentry while jailed. Also, because it lets you move through mobs, you can easily escape surrounding crowds at will. I know dashing strike seems underwhelming on paper, especially when you already have thunderclap, but incorporating it into my build took my survivability to a whole new level. Hope this helps

You're suppose to, as much as possible, avoid getting hit by all those CC affixes. Time your skills well.

As many people have already mentioned, it's not your build that's flawed, but rather your play style. With those stats you can effectively do act 2 or 3 already solo. All you need to do is find a way to time your skills (or even try new skills) so that you can survive while still maintaining your gun ho play style.
