Is it worth using a KSoV for dlvls 13-15 and then switching to a KSoH for Advocates on 16, or would it be better to just use one or the other all the way?
it would be very tedious to use ksov all the way as advocates would just escape you every 1-2 hits...
a ksov would be nice early on in the game if youre still weak and playing hell on a all-melee lvl. .. .combined with gotter its unstoppable
later on I just use ksoh all the way.
But is it worth keeping using a KSoV most of the time, and keeping a KSoH in your inventory for advocates? Or is it faster/more efficient using a KSoH all the way?
The Vampire effect is to let you use potions infrequently, that's the purpose of the sword. If you are quick at micromanaging and can switch your swords between H or V efficiently between battles, that is the ideal world situation. But since we don't have another weapon tab in D1, it is a tedious process for most people.
You lose out on the stun effect fighting Succubi and Advocates, or other ranged type mobs in 13-16. I am sure in Normal mode it should be fine since you will be killing most things in one or 2-3 hits. Nightmare it could be the sweet spot for that sword as a high level warrior.
In Hell/Hell, I've found if you are surrounded by melee and blocking often, the non-haste weapons slow you down on the killing because you will be the one in a stunlock.
Alright, thanks for the advice. Guess I'll use a KSoV for now, and switch to a KSoH full-time when I move on to Hell/Hell.
KSoH all the way
I`m keeping KSoV in my inventory just for the case I would die and I would need item recovery. Same goes for OSoT and ASoT (Obs./Awe Shield of Tiger)
