Worst Hardcore Character?

CC + Melee Attack + Combo = Dead in Act 3 against Swift Skull Cleavers and Tremors with those stats. I would be terrified to play a tank DH in HC. The Act 2 elites do like no melee damage, but some of the Act 3 mobs can legit global or 2 shot you with just their basic melee attacks. My SC DH had way better mitigation and LoH, but none of that fancy set bonus stuff, and got stomped hardcore in really clutch situations. True, it is very possible to progress if you play very well, but one lag spike and you're out.

Your friend does plenty of damage. Add a Barb to the party, get an additional 200+ All Res, and I don't see why he can't beat the game from here on out.

well that's why i said gear is not enough for a3 yet. And about lagspikes. In a3+ from my experience lagspike kills any class with almost any build anyway Even my hc wizz with 900-1000 reses or more with shout don't feel comfortable in a3 on hc. TO be honest i don't see any amount being comfortable in a3+ on HC. Dmg is just sometimes out of control and one stupid lagspike or mistake no matter my resits and i die anyway.

Agreed, even a full on tank barb won't last long in A3+ lag.

Speaking of DH, lost my first one at 40 to a firechain / vortex pack of Accursed in NM desert. Those guys are bloody fast. Funny, I ran off far enough to get into the Vile Cave at 5% life.... Guess what, another Molten pack waited for me RIGHT inside. Was sad.

Remade, now lvl 56 in 7 hours-ish, not making same mistakes this time, have all Caltrops, SS, Vault and Prep on my bars at ALL times past normal. Hopefully hit 60 today and retire this character till 1.04. DHs are waaaaaaaaay scary to play solo.

that's my friend's DH tank on hardcore. Works in a1/a2. For a3 still needs better gear tho.
Spike trap is procing LoH like crazy.

That's crazy. I'd loooove to find a nice 8-10 disc 1hand xbow, never seen anything like this in the US.

Just run with pub groups. Easiest thing in the world. Of course, I know some folks enjoy the challenge!

I prefer solo, alot faster, just more dangerous, obviously. I also prefer to progress solo if I'm doing something new (e.g. Inferno or new class), as a challenge

And yes, lvl 60 in I think 8.5ish hours, though I don't have Inferno gear for her yet. Only put on Angelic Hair Belt with very good stats (belts can't have high agi, this one is I think 150/110/25AR/3% life, but I'll probably change it a better one with high AR +high % life when I find one!). Also got 10 disc chest with decent stats and 10 disc quiver with very high Dex/Vita but no crit :( Ideally I'd want to run with 60 disc from a 1k+ hand xbow, but gl me finding that... So it'll take awhile to gear her up. On to my Monk for now (lvl 30, hopefully 50ish tonight)

Yeah. I play solo, but I have a second account on which my lvl 60 barb "rusher" has every wp, so I just jump to key farming areas. Before, I just asked friends to give me the wp for a quick jump, e.g. A3 last wp, A4 last wp, etc. But all actual levelling is done solo.

My last barb hit 1-60 in 7.5 hours, I want to try and beat that with my next barb and do a video guide of it It is easiest with barb, but possible with every class. Will put it up by the weekend, hopefully.

Since this seems to be the best DH hangout on the forums I figure I'll ask this here.

I have an 860 dps, 1.78 attack speed, 1h xbow with 400 LOH and a socket. If you were perusing the AH for a new xbox would you guys rather see an Emerald or Amethyst in there?

unless its a star, leave it open but price accordingly for the socket.

It will be a star either way, and I normally don't put a minimum bid or buyout price. It is just down to whichever gem makes the xbow more attractive.
