With no significant bannings in days gold prices are dropping and supply is increasing - item gold prices should stop their decline and begin to increase all things being equal.
without those botters and their 100s of millions of gold gah items are much cheaper...
active traders post here if you notice this also
So far the prices on gold find items seem to have dropped a bit, though. 20% gold find rings would easily sell for over 1mil and now are readily available for 600-700k. 19% gold find items without additional stats are almost impossible to sell. I would say either the main gold find users aren't getting banned (due to not being bots or due to being sneaky bots), and thus don't need any more gold find gear, and/or the ones that are banned aren't coming back.
there are a lot who aren't re loading that previously would have been outfitting 2, 3, 8, 20 dhs with gf gear. that said the longer it takes for another ban wave to come the more that will start botting every day, so let me know when those gf items start going up again
What makes you think there was some hardcore banning going on? I didn't see anything on that. Sure doesn't seem like anyone was banned.
i know about mass bannings because threads on some sites went to 50 pages with individuals reporting being banned.
however all the bots are up and running again (no whining about being banned for quite some time) and big surprise, look at gold down to ~1.2/m. we'll see what happens tomorrow with maint, hopefully its got some adrenaline for warden.
Isn't the maintenance going to be solely for the new Sc2 patch? Hoping for some d3 changes but kinda doubt there will be any yet.
Well 20GF rings are up to like 900k. Still not the >1mil it was before but pretty close.
Eh, you must be confused.
Items will be much more expensive, because people have more money to spend...
bots cause inflation, they don't counter it...
If items are getting cheaper, that means items are getting DUPED.
That's a whole different problem from gold farming bots.
sry i guess this wasn't clear enough as i was discussing 2 things in one sentence;
item gold prices should stop their decline and begin to increase all things being equal.
- prices were declining as money supply shrank (ie. botters were banned en masse) but as they are no longer being banned we can expect the gold prices to increase. my post was written prior to the expansion hence the now and future in the sentence...
some new bans are going through now, though not of the scale of the last wave; we'll see what gold does over the next few days.
It's not quite clear really.
If gold prices are no longer increasing, that still means bots are active again. - kind of to be expected as they will find ways again and again. Supply-demand.
Put it like this,
If bots are active:
* Gold supply increases
* Gold price goes down
* Item-gold price goes way up
If bots get banned:
* Gold supply decreases
* Gold price goes up
* Item-godl price goes down
