DPS is just a screen number...Damage per second. Not related to each hit. This is an average calcuated base on attack speed, weapon average, critical hit etc.
Example : DPS of 1000 and I shoot a spell that attack once a second for 1000 dmg on average.
If I double my attack speed my DPS will jump to 2000 but my attack will still deal 1000 dmg...but it will be fire each 0.5 seconds.
Of I could increase my criticical hit so my DPS double...the hit that aren't critical hit won't increase...it's all about average.
Guess probably didnt feel Electrocute twick twice, if thats the case then the figures is pretty correct then. (tool tip was 80% vs 105%)
Yup, dps includes quite a few factors. ias, crits....
Blizzard crits? Scales with crit? I'm starting to stack crit and crit damage but is that pointless whe using Blizzard?
Hehe, just the exact question i wanted to post today on these forums.
Also what procs are triggered by blizzard? Critical Mass? Various item based on-hit things? Life on hit? etc.
Also my understanding is that neither of base weapon speed or IAS bonuses do anything at all to blizzard's damage.
So its damage output only depends on your min and max damage and not your dps. Is that correct?
I have another question. Does the 75% extra damage from arcane dynamo (5 flashes of insight) apply to the full duration of blizzard?
If yes this is kick *** passive skill for blizzard users and better than cold blooded.
